God’s Simple Plan of Salvation

First, one must realize their inability to be “good enough” for heaven, and thereby their need of a Savior.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23a

“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”Revelation 20:14, 15

Second, one must realize the answer to humanity’s dilemma and the source of salvation are found only in Jesus.

“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8, 9

Third, one must act on this knowledge of sin and Jesus being the only source of salvation.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

Four, pray to God putting your trust in Jesus to save you.

Sample prayer: “Dear God, I confess I am a sinner. I acknowledge my punishment of eternal death because of sin. I know I can do nothing to escape my sin and need the mercy and grace of your salvation. I turn away from my sin and receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe Jesus died and rose again from the grave to provide salvation from my sin. Lord teach me how to live my life according to your will. Amen.”

Fifth, if you just received Jesus as your Savior, praise God! Welcome to God’s family! I encourage you to let us know and to unite with fellow believers in a local church. We welcome you to come to God’s church here at First Baptist Church – Stanton. It’s essential to read God’s word, pray, and participate weekly in Sunday worship gathering. God also desires that we become involved in other ministries like Sunday school, Bible studies, and more.

If you are already a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and if you do not regularly attend a local church, then we gladly invite you to become involved here at First Baptist Church.
